Lecturer in Electrical Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lecturer in Electrical Engineering to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to the academic community at our Holborn campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver up to 18 hours of teaching per week (each module is 3 hours, up to 6 modules).
  • Engage in marking, assessment, pastoral care, and resource development.
  • Participate in academic and administrative duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree (MA or MSc) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of higher education teaching experience within the UK.
  • Qualifications: Teaching Qualification in the UK (PGCE) or fellowship qualification (HEA/FHEA).
  • Work Authorization: Must have full right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship or visa assistance.

Working Hours:

  • 40 Hours Per Week
  • Flexible to teach on evenings and weekends (if teaching in the evening, the morning off will be provided; if teaching on weekends, a day off during the week will be given).
  • Business operations hours are 9am – 9pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 6pm Friday – Sunday.

Recruitment Process:

  • 1-hour MS Teams interview, which includes a 15-20 minute micro-teach session followed by academic-based questions.
  • Potential for an additional interview if necessary.
