Job Title: Lecturer in Instrumentation Engineering  

Salary:  From £28,419 - £41,874 per annum

*The salary progression criteria beyond point 11 of the Lecturer scale will be based on you achieving and maintaining, on an annual basis, the Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) & QTS. To progress beyond point 14 of the Lecturer salary scale, you will be expected to achieve and maintain the Advanced Teacher Status (ATS)

Contract: MC Lecturer, Full Time, Permanent  

Hours: 37 hours per week

Teaching Hours:   864 per annum

Annual Leave: 45 days per annum, plus statutory Bank Holidays

Pension: Teachers’ Pension  

About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008.  It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

About the role 

To plan and deliver a wide range of challenging, relevant learning and work experiences to ensure all learners can develop for their future careers in Instrumentation.

The successful candidate will:  

  • To be a qualified Teacher or willing to work towards.
  • To be a qualified assessor or willing to work towards.
  • Essential – Relevant industrial experience in the field of Instrumentation.
  • Desirable – Current knowledge and / or experience of teaching in one or more fields of Instrumentation Engineering
