To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Physiotherapy, within the Department of Paramedicine & Physiotherapy.

Our Department of Paramedicine and Physiotherapy is a dynamic and values-based work environment that aspires to contribute towards the common good of the local, national and international communities. This is an exciting time of expansion for us as we seek to recruit person-centred individuals to join us in this endeavour. As a Lecturer in Physiotherapy you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy although expertise in other related areas is welcomed. Applicants should hold or be working towards a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.

Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. These include BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) and DPT Physio(pre-pre-registration), MSc Advanced Physiotherapy Practice and MSc Advanced Practice. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching and assessment in higher education and practice based learning is desirable. The Department of Paramedicine & Physiotherapy promotes innovation in learning and teaching and, therefore, we are keen to appoint an individual with experience of e-learning and online environments as well as individuals who have taught in a professional capacity. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with AdvanceHE is desirable. The post holders will also be expected to contribute to ensuring curricula are current and compliant with internal and external regulatory frameworks.
