Lecturer in Public Health Improvement
The role
The Centre for Public Health, based in Bristol Medical School, seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Public Health Improvement, commencing September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. We are seeking a candidate with expertise in public health improvement and quantitative methods. We are open to receive applications from a range of public health improvement specialisms but would be particularly keen to receive applications from candidates with expertise in place-based public health, climate change, or interventions with older adults.
Interviews are planned to be held on 3rd October 2024.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will provide teaching and assessment (plus the related administration) on health improvement aspects on the undergraduate MBChB Medicine and the MSc in Public Health.
The successful candidate will produce their own research, in line with the research strategy of the Centre for Public Health. This will include grant capture and the production of papers published in high quality journals, as well as supporting collaborative research with immediate colleagues and those in the wider Faculty and beyond.

You should apply if you have a PhD in Public Health or a related discipline and a good knowledge of public health improvement and the ability to teach, assess and research this discipline.
