    About the role:

    The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care is the largest faculty in the university and constantly pursues innovative approaches to develop and deliver curricula to meet the ever-changing educational needs of the Health and Social Care workforce. Our faculty offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, from foundation degrees to doctoral study.

    Were recruiting for a Lecturer in skills and simulation (Nursing) at our Chelmsford campus. This post will include planning and managing learning and teaching for both pre- and post-registration nursing, within the Simulation and Clinical skills team for our NMC approved courses. Other duties will include link activity to support practice-based learning, as well as contributing to the research, innovation, and knowledge exchange activities of the school and wider Faculty.

    With a first degree with significant clinical experience and ongoing evidence of CPD, you will also hold a current registration with the UK NMC as a nurse (adult/mental/child/learning disability). Youll have extensive experience of contemporary clinical practice and / or clinical education, excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines. Youll contribute to curriculum development and work co-operatively and as part of a team. With an enthusiastic and flexible approach and good interpersonal and negotiating skills, youll demonstrate commitment to our values with a willingness to contribute to the collective life of the faculty.
