Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Public Health
The role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Public Health to work within the Centre for Public Health in the Bristol Medical School, Department of Population Health Sciences. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a public health researcher with outstanding potential to develop a successful career in academic public health within a thriving and supportive environment. We are open to receiving applications from those with broad expertise in Public Health but would be particularly keen to receive applications from candidates with research interests and experience in Addiction including nicotine dependence and dependence on prescribed medicines.
What will you be doing?
The successful candidate will provide teaching and assessment (plus the related administration) on health improvement aspects on the undergraduate MBChB Medicine and the MSc in Public Health. The successful candidate will produce their own research, in line with the research strategy of the Centre for Public Health. This will include grant capture and the production of papers published in high quality journals, as well as supporting collaborative research with immediate colleagues and those in the wider Faculty and beyond.

You should apply if you have a relevant postgraduate degree - a PhD (or professional equivalent) in Public Health or a related discipline and good knowledge and expertise in Public Health (including Addiction) and the ability to teach, assess and research this discipline.
