About the role

You will play an important role in the detailed preparation for and delivery of the BA Media. You will also contribute an important specialism to the range of expertise required by the programme, particularly on the modules ‘Analysing Media Texts’ and ‘Multimodality and Fan Cultures.’ In addition to teaching at undergraduate level, you will contribute to Masters and PhD programmes in media, and to research, knowledge exchange and consultancy activities in ReMAP, the Knowledge Lab, and Culture Lab at UCL East.

You will also play an important role in the development of the new UCL Media Network, generating collaborative approaches to teaching, research and intellectual endeavour across the three faculties.

You will also contribute to planning and delivery of workshops for schools and communities in East London as part of UCL East’s Widening Participation programme.

Please note this is a Fixed term post with funding 01/09/ - 31/08/.

About you

You will have a PhD, completed or close to completion (or comparable research experience), in digital media arts, media and cultural studies, screen studies, or other relevant fields in social sciences, media arts or digital media and evidence of potential for successful funded research or professional consultancy work.

Experience in the (interactive) media industries is desirable.
