About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. You will be teaching on the undergraduate MSci programme beginning at the start of the first academic term (Sept ), developing the module and course during the academic year /5. This is a fixed-term, part-time contract for two years with a pro-rated salary. The successful candidate will be undertaking teaching and convening on the final year. Integrated Industry Design (IID) module. We are looking for a candidate with a specialism in crime science who is willing to work closely with industry partners. The MSci IID module is under development so the candidate must be interested in designing, coordinating and implementing this module. About you

The successful candidate will have previous experience of teaching or assisting on undergraduate courses in a university. They will have an understanding of the principles of crime science, and they will have a PhD (or near completion) in a relevant discipline and a track record of high-quality teaching and working with undergraduate students. Teaching areas that will be covered in the module include horizon scanning, risk analysis, project management, scenario modelling, EDI and ethics, and technologically-enabled crimes, but we encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates. In line with our interdisciplinary ethos, applicants with the required experience come from any relevant social, physical or life science discipline (, computer science, criminology, data science, economics, engineering, forensic science, geography, mathematics, political science, psychology, and sociology) or law. Note that knowledge of crime science principles will be part of the essential job criteria.
