Lecturer – Counselling
13.5 hours per week
Permanent
£40, - £48, per annum pro rata
Coatbridge Campus
We are seeking a qualified practicing counsellor whose approach is person-centred for a permanent part-time lecturing post at New College Lanarkshire. It is essential applicants have extensive experience in counselling adults and be a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
You will support the teaching and development of the counselling curriculum within the Department of Dental, Science, Health & Social Care.
Qualified to degree level (SCQF level 9) you must have a good understanding of the subject area. You will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate and encourage students.
Possession of a teaching qualification and assessor or verifier units would be advantageous and you will ideally have experience in delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum.
An effective communicator and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines and on your own initiative.
