The Company
A leading manufcaturing company working int the live entertainment industry
The Role
This is a position that will require a flexible engineer. The role will include working in the R&D department, developing and updaiting new and existing products within the companies portfolio.
The work will include the following:
Refinements to existing products to make them more efficient to manufacture, with possibly less components or less labour required
Making samples of new products, for clients and for certification
Writing new working instructions for the new products, then training the staff on them
Updating old working instructions into our new format
Writing risk assessments for various processes
Reviewing and assessing all processes with ops manager and H&S manager for safety and efficiancy
Testing our products on machines for friction, ESD and impact sensitivity
Audit of chemical and explosives stores on site
Burning waste products in a safe environment following our waste protocol
The Candidate
To apply for this role, you must
1. Be a PhD Educated Chemist
2. Have at least a years experience in a commercial environment
3. Any team lead experience or experience leading a team would be advantagous
4. Be able to communicate to fellow employees at all levels
5. Be able to troubleshoot and fix production issues
6. Experience writing documentation and work insrtruction for new products
