Thesis subject: Advanced 3D Characterization of Deformed and Recrystallized Microstructures in Highly Strained Metals
As a PhD student, you will play a crucial role in the investigation of the connection between deformation and annealing microstructures in metals, addressing the challenge of mapping deformed and recrystallized microstructures in 3D at industrial deformation levels. This project, co-financed by the ERC Starting Grant Project "D-REX," aims to utilize advanced X-ray microscopy techniques at the ID03 beamline of the ESRF to study dislocation structures, subgrain evolution, and recrystallization in highly strained metals. You will be enrolled at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and spend approximately your time at ESRF and at DTU.
