Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons Preparing for Adulthood pathways- Good Health, Independent Living, Employment and Friends, Relationships and the Community, to post-16 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised education plans to meet the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback to enhance their learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with support staff and external agencies to support students' holistic development
  • Participate in CPD opportunities to stay updated on best practises in SEN education
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialist training or experience in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience teaching students with SEN, preferably post-16
  • Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN policies and practises in the UK education system
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certification in SEN education
  • Experience in using assistive technology to support students with SEN
  • Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom setting within a post-16 educational institution

    All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
