Postdoctoral Researcher
A London-based university is seeking a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher to join their internationally acclaimed Sustainability Research team on a contract basis. This exceptional role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative research that bridges academia and real-world application, driving meaningful advancements in sustainability. Your research will directly contribute to the teams efforts to secure new funding streams and expand its impact within the academic and broader sustainability communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality, innovative research in sustainability science, contributing to the institute’s strategic objectives
- Develop research proposals and secure funding from national and international funding bodies
- Publish findings in leading peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the university and external partners
- Mentor early-career researchers and contribute to the institute’s teaching and knowledge exchange activities
About You
The successful candidate must have:
- A PhD in a sustainability-related discipline
- Proven experience in securing research funding
- A collaborative mindset and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Role information:
Salary: £60,000 (salaries above may be considered dependent on experience)
Contract type: Interim contract
Length of contract: 6 months (progressing to a longer term contract)
Location: London
Flexible working – 1 day per week on site with 4 days working from home
