About the role

Please note this is primarily intended as an internal opportunity - only if there is no suitable PhD student at UCL identified would external applications from students at other universities be accepted and considered.

We are looking to appoint current PhD students as Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (PGTAs) to support education across the department in the -25 academic year, work with the module leads and programme leads on small group teaching and learning across our programmes.

Main duties of PGTAs are tutorial class teaching, regular meetings with the module lead/lecturers, provision of feedback to students, provision of weekly office hours, attendance reporting, coursework assessment, and examination marking.

A document outlining the vacancies that remain available for this year is attached; as part of your application, you will be asked to specify which roles you would like to be considered for. Without this, your application will not be progressed further.

About you

You must be a current PhD student, either full or part time.

PGTAs are given training and ongoing support to assist them in their roles.

    This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role
