The Research Assistant- Adsorbent Development will work with a diverse team and will have the help and supervision of other research scientists. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of experiments related to Research & Development projects, helping in the development of methodologies and techniques necessary for the completion of the experiments, accurate record keeping, and reporting of results.

As an Adsorbent Development Research Assistant, you will contribute towards the evaluation of bioseparation products used for the purification of therapeutic biomolecules. In this role, you will be responsible for performing experiments to support product and applications work including production of protein, nucleic acids and viral vectors feedstocks, development and execution of downstream processes and analytical investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting practical experimental work to facilitate product development, application support and analytical development
  • Evaluation of results from experiments including analytical interpretation and statistical analysis where required
  • Documentation of experiments in writeups and technical reports
  • Presentation of experimental data to R&D project teams and other internal departments at project meetings
  • Routine equipment maintenance
  • Upholding health and safety requirements
  • Other related duties/responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor.


Qualifications/Skills and Experience

  • BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related field (Undergoing Undergraduate)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • This role would suit students keen to learn/enthusiastic about chemistry with an interest in furthering Bioproduction through the innovation of he next generation of chromatography tools
