About the role
Duties and responsibilities
Main duties:
To recruit GP practices into the study and liaise with local clinical delivery networks about research processes. To perform study visits virtually via videocalls and phone calls, possibly in GP practices and participants homes. To be responsible for eliciting informed consent from study participants, highlighting the purpose of the study and explaining the assessments to be performed. To address participants’ questions and concerns regarding all aspects of the study. To observe the confidentiality of participant information at all times, in accordance with the relevant legislation. To ensure that all study documentation is kept in a clearly trackable system and is stored confidentially. To document and report serious adverse events and incidents. To perform baseline research assessments and follow-up data collection in accordance with study protocols. To ensure that all data are recorded accurately and entered into the appropriate database in a timely manner. To ensure that data queries are dealt with on time. To ensure that all study protocols, research governance, good clinical practice guidelines are adhered to at all times. To attend trial team meetings or other meetings required for conduct of trial. To contribute to the writing up of reports. Any other duties appropriate to the grade as directed by the supervisor.
About you
The post will be most suitable for a researcher with a psychology, social science or related degree, a background in nursing or any other healthcare profession. This is a developmental post and would be suitable for someone seeking a career in clinical research or in clinical psychology.
