Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for economic and financial analysis within Deutsche Bank Group and covers asset allocation and all major industry sectors. We analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society, highlight risks and opportunities and act as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues.

The individual will sit with the Thematic and Corporate Bank Research team. You will be providing insights to asset managers and corporates on thematic trends that affect the business world. This involves micro as well as macro analysis, on-going authoring and production of written research to promote investment views and marketing of those views to internal and external clients.

Your key responsibilities
  • Provide clients (including asset managers and corporates) with insights into financial markets, economics, and politics, and the thematic trends that affect the business world. Modelling, presentations, and written reports will be complemented with client meetings
  • Create presentations and written reports using various publicly available information to assess the potential impact of business and financial themes on markets, the economy, and corporates
  • Research and write briefing papers for senior management on various topics as required
  • Contribute to team publications that cross asset classes and topics
Your skills and experience
  • An established corporate, equity, or macro analysis background and relevant knowledge and/or experience within a corporate environment
  • Strong interest in financial markets, economics, and geopolitics
  • Sound experience creating interesting presentations in Powerpoint
  • An ability and willingness to research a topic in which you have little experience or knowledge
  • Strong written ability and an ability to generate ideas and convert those into commercial research for clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills which enable you to market your ideas to the internal and external client base
