Job Description:
  • Thisposition is in Precision Genomics St. Louis Production Genotypinglab.
  • The candidate will be workingcollaboratively with a large production team of FTEs andcontractors to deliver daily and weekly genotyping targets undertight deadlines.
  • The candidate willprimarily be responsible for operating manual and automated labprocesses in a PCR lab.
  • The rolemay also include additional various tasks in sample prep Librarycreation extractions general lab stocking and supply upkeep.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Desired skills for the ideal candidate:
Demonstrate reliability:
  • This is abusinesscritical position to keep our lab running 7 days a weekacross multiple shifts.
  • Thecandidate must be a reliable presence on this shift.
  • Position may require flexible or off shifthours during peak times.
HighThroughput/production/sample management:
  • Our labprocesses 2 million samples per year with fast turnaround times.
  • Any experience handling a largenumber of samples daily (lab etc) or in a fastpaced environment(retail food service etc) is a plus.
  • Experience with LIMS is a plus.
Automation/mechanical aptitude:
  • The candidate must be comfortable running andtroubleshooting automation independently with little guidance onthis shift.
  • Biologists withengineering/technical aptitudes are encouraged to apply.
