Client Services Director (Researcher); leadership of a global client programme; innovation and consumer behaviour

A hugely important role within this international market research agency, you will manage a client and head up all aspects of data delivery for a complex global research programme focused on the development of ground-breaking new brands in the consumer sector exploring consumer behaviour around these products in terms of usage and uptake.


A multi-million-pound account spanning a wide range of global programmes, there is a strong focus on research tracking in multiple markets.


This is a high-profile role within the business. As Client Services Director, your remit will be to work with the client to develop the project and to ensure the delivery of the high-quality data this agency is known for, on time and to budget. You will be responsible for driving efficiencies, always adding value and looking for better ways of working to deliver value to the client.

And you will take a long term view, looking ahead to ensure the programme continues to evolve and deliver.


A super client-facing role, you can expect full and positive client engagement: this client is highly regarded in the agency because they listen and follow the advice given. Described as a true partnership, there is a high degree of trust.


You will head up a team, with two direct reports (AD level research project management specialists) and will work alongside the research team. Team leadership and teamwork are vital for this role – this is a cohesive team of people who are passionate, interested and want to do a great job.


You will take financial ownership of the project (previous experience in this is key) and will be responsible for driving ongoing innovation in order to create more effective ways of working – including ensuring the most up to date technology is being fully utilised across the programmes.


For this role, we need a high calibre, established and strategic client services director/researcher (ideally from a research agency background) who has experience of leading high value accounts and running and setting up complex global programmes, including global tracking programmes, across multiple markets.


Exceptional client facing skills are a must – we need someone with instant gravitas and credibility, who is an expert in research/(tracking) and who can add value from the get-go.

This is a pacey client, so you will need to be fleet of foot and as forward thinking and ambitious for their brands as they are. We need to see energy, proactivity and a drive to make a difference in spades.


You must have an excellent understanding of research (operations experience would be advantageous eg. knowledge of f2f fieldwork) and be used to working alongside senior stakeholders - and having a voice with them.
