Project Description

EcoLandS will develop a proof-of-concept digital service to enable communities to acquire disused land within their localities for ecological and biodiversity purposes. Its aim is to build citizen knowledge of land ownership, access and use and to enable the conditions for communities to build democratic land stewardship models. The EPSRC funds the project as part of the Ecological Citizens grant managed by the Royal College of Art. The project is led by Dr Sharon Prendeville (PI), Dr Anna Grosman (CoI) 

 

Job Purpose

 

To conduct research in the area of ecological land governance and to be responsible for developing digital tool design criteria as well as co-designing stakeholder workshops as appropriate. To collect primary data in support of the case study development and implementation.

  

Key Requirements

  • Background in design innovation
  • Experience of co-design and using design methods for workshops
  • Experience of community organising and place-making
  • Experience of case study research
  • Codesign and participatory design skills
  • MSc/MA Service Design Innovation
