Job Description:
This role has the following three primary components:
- Being the subject matter expert for Competitor Transaction Banking
- Alongside client-allocated Relationship teams, provide research and product expertise support for banks.
- Support the development and growth of the Transaction Banking platform.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Subject Matter Expert:
- Develop knowledge to enable you to be a subject matter expert across the Transaction Banking landscape.
- Analyse, interpret, and deliver Transaction Banking data to present key messages to senior clients – focus on ensuring maximum impact of messaging and actionability.
- Contribute to the Group's understanding of the ongoing evolution of Transaction Banking activity.
As part of Transaction Banking Delivery
- With the Relationship Management teams, deliver the Transaction Banking product with the annual delivery schedules, attending delivery meetings in person or via VC/call.
- Prepare analytics ready to present to clients in line with contractual remit and timeframes.
- Work closely with the Analytics center in Mumbai on the execution of projects and deliveries
In Content and Analytics Development
- As part of the global Research team, lead the analysis to develop the Transaction Bank performance model.
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
Keen interest in Corporate Investment Banking content – knowledge in Transaction Banking, Cash Management or Trade Finance will be a MUST to be successful in this role. Must have knowledge or experience of Corporate and Investment Banking markets: trends, Financial Services sector, specific competitors and their strengths; Preferred backgrounds where relevant experience is likely to have been gained:
- Banks’ Client Management teams.
- Banks’ Client Strategy teams.
- Business Management function within banks.
- Product or Sales Management within banks.
- Financial Services practice of a Consulting firm.
- Equity Research covering financial services.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills and aptitude, and an ability to work with significant amounts of data, both numerical and qualitative.
Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills allowing immediate individual impact on the client; the ability to build rapport easily and to converse confidently and articulately. Fluency in spoken English is essential; Excellent qualitative skills and the ability to prepare well-edited, well-presented reports and market commentary.
Excellent project Management - A proven ability to work autonomously; Strong track record of successfully delivered projects.
A strong degree of independence, drive, and self-motivation. A proven ability to work autonomously and to take ownership of planning own workload.
Demonstration of genuine interest and passion in the Financial Services sector coupled with the willingness and drive to develop your knowledge and understanding of the sector.
Candidates must have high intellect demonstrated by a strong academic background – this will typically be demonstrated by a strong undergraduate degree; in the absence of this, demonstration of compelling alternative qualification or experience.
