We are working with a leading London based University recruiting for a

Research Hub Manager.Daily Rate:

based on salary equivalent of £56,652 - £68,005Contract type:

1 month, possibility of further extensionWorking hours:

Full-Time, 35 hours per weekLocation:

London (Hybrid)

Job Purpose:The Research Hub Manager will be responsible for the on-going publicity, management, planning and co-ordination of the Communications Hub. The post holder will be expected to maintain the communication, budget management and administrative structure for the project.

Duties:Be responsible for the management of the Hub grant, its budgets and accounts, and to coordinate and distribute financial progress reports as necessaryMonitor budget expenditure to ensure compliance with sponsors’ terms and conditionsManage the engagement with the sponsors, the grant’s academic partners and other stakeholders from industry, academia, and governmentManage the regular cycles of events such as running calls for proposals, arranging monthly meetings, agenda, speakers and managing the International workshop logistics and financesCoordinate the quarterly and annual project reports and provide financial advice and support to the relevant academic staff and studentsSupport the Hub’s public engagement and online presenceMaintain proactive management of the Hub’s social media presence, including populating portals to include calls for seed funding, newsletters, job adverts etcAssist with the day-to-day running of the group’s research web pages and social media output

Person Specification:Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with a wide range of peopleExperience with publicity, such as scientific writing or the creation of web pages, including hosting a social media presenceExperience in managing scientific or industrial projectsBudget management experienceExperience within the higher education sectorUnderstanding and experience of research grant funding
