Stealth-Mode Start-Up Client is seeking a dedicated Researcher to drive market analysis, technical research, and innovation strategy across all facets of an ambitious web and mobile platform. This role will focus on exploring emerging technologies, analyzing industry trends, and identifying actionable insights that inform product, technical, and business strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, a passion for emerging technologies, and the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on emerging trends, best practices, and innovative technologies across digital platforms and ecosystems.
• Explore and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and tools that align with the platform's long-term objectives.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and user behaviour insights to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collect, analyze, and present qualitative and quantitative data to support decision-making across product, marketing, and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for innovative features, workflows, and technical advancements.
• Investigate regulatory requirements in target markets to ensure platform compliance with local and international laws.
• Create whitepapers, technical reports, and research briefs to communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Analyze user feedback and reviews to identify common themes, pain points, and potential improvements.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Teams to validate hypotheses and inform strategies.
• Stay informed about technological advancements, market shifts, and consumer trends relevant to the platform's goals.

Requirements:

• A degree in Research, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a research-focused role, preferably in a technology or platform-based environment.
• Excellent command of the English Language in all forms.
• Previous start-up experience would be an advantage. 
• Proficiency with tools like SPSS, Stata, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong background in quantitative analysis, statistical modelling, and experimental design.
• Experience conducting user interviews, surveys, and focus groups to gather qualitative insights.
• Familiarity with market research methodologies and competitive analysis tools.
• Basic understanding of technical concepts, APIs, and platform architectures.
• Proven experience creating whitepapers, reports, and research presentations for diverse audiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, technical, and business teams to deliver research-driven recommendations.
• Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and clarity in reporting.

Compensation & Benefits

Equity-only at present, to transition to a salaried, full-time permanent position when funding is secured.
