The Role

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential sales leads and targets
• Gather and analyse data on competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities
• Track and monitor industry news, events, and developments to stay up to date with the latest market trends and competitor activities
• Take an analytical approach to internal and wider industry data systems and collate the resulting opportunities for development by the sales team
• Identify and compile a comprehensive database of potential clients and key decision-makers within the corporate and meetings and events sectors
• Assist the sales team in identifying and qualifying sales leads, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in the CRM system (Salesforce)
• Work closely with the hotel-based sales teams to collate and co-ordinate targeted sales activity in conjunction with the central sales team
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and tactics based on research findings and market insights
• Provide recommendations and insights to improve sales strategies and target specific customer segments within the London market
• Support the sales team in preparing proposals, presentations, and sales collateral by providing accurate and relevant information
• Assist in organizing and attending industry events, trade shows, and networking sessions to gather market intelligence and build relationships with potential clients
• Maintain and enrich customer data within the CRM system (Salesforce)
• Provide general administration assistance to the proactive sales team


What we look for

● Experience of sales and account management, preferably within the hospitality industry
● An ambitious individual looking to develop their career within hospitality sales
● Proficiency in conducting market research using various tools and techniques
● Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
● Self-motivated, proactive and target orientated with the ability to work both independently and as part of team
● Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple ongoing activities
● Ability to absorb and understand market trends and data and effectively communicate their potential
● Proficient in MS Office and CRM software (Salesforce)
