Job Title: SEND Lecturer
Grade: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Reports To: Deputy Head of College
Location: Bromley
We are working with a fantastic SEN college that is seeking a dedicated SEND Lecturer to deliver high-quality education and support to their students. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact in an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
This college supports young adults aged 19 to 25 years old who have PMLD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Assess and report on student progress, ensuring alignment with personal learning goals and EHCP outcomes.
- Manage a team of support assistants, working closely with therapists and other professionals.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Actively participate in performance management, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Ensure a commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students.
- Promote inclusion, equality, and diversity within the College.
- Lead by example and serve as a positive role model for both students and colleagues.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across various disciplines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of differentiated teaching and assessment.
- Experience working with students with additional learning needs (desirable).
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding young people.
