Senior Postgraduate Research Administrator
About the role
LCN students form an integral part of our department, and we are recruiting a Senior Postgraduate Research Administrator to oversee every aspect of the administration and support in relation to them. The Senior Postgraduate Research Administrator will be responsible for the administration and support relating to all of the Department’s doctoral students, in conjunction with the various CDT Managers for the CDT students. They willconsistently provide a high quality and timely service to students, manage student funding, and take responsibility for the implementation of new processes and procedures. They will also provide support for all matters relating to PhD students from enquiry to completion, including processes relating to assessment, student and course records and student finance.
About you
With experience within a similar role in Higher Education or an equivalent environment, the successful candidate will have knowledge of Doctoral Training programmes, including regulations for funding and appointing students, plus experience of using the JeS data capture system. They will have a good understanding of HE procedures, regulations and codes of practice, and will be familiar with the complete cycle of admissions processes and UK and overseas qualifications. Committed to high quality service provision, they will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be able to prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.
