Trainee Lecturer in Esports

Publicerad 2024-07-04

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Lecturer in Esports with the potential to deliver outstanding student achievement and a commitment to driving forward the new and exciting Esports provision.

This post would suit newly qualified graduates who wished to gain a teaching qualification or newly qualified teachers. Lecturer A’s have reduced contact hours and are supported through a mentoring system and staff development programmes to develop their classroom practice.

As an ambitious Trainee Lecturer, you will work closely within the Creative Arts & Media division to ensure that students are actively engaged in all aspects of the delivery of Esports and you will also work within the Division and liaise with cross-College areas to enhance the student experience and provide the widest range of opportunities to our students.

As a Trainee Lecturer your contact teaching hours, relevant to subject specialism, will increase as you gain in skills and experience.

With a relevant degree level qualification in a relevant subject, ideally you also possess a PGCE or Certificate in Education. However, should you not have this, the College has an excellent Staff Development programme where a recognised teaching qualification can be gained.

You will have knowledge of the Esports industry and of current issues in the Esports sector relating to opportunities for learners. Experience of working within the Esports sector working with Esports teams and/or players would be advantageous, however this is not essential.

The salary for this post is up to £26,817.
