For the Law Centre for Health and Life in the Faculty of Law, we are looking for an enthusiastic student assistant for research support.
What will you do
Your core tasks in this position is to support the research of Members of the group, with a focus on the EU’s external legal responsibilities regarding health and pharmaceuticals.
What do we require
For this position of lecturer we require that you are:
- a student in European Union or in Health Law;
- Have previous research experience in EU external relations;
- Have contributed to academic publications on EU law, preferably on the topic of external relations;
- Have a clear and precise writing style in English;
- Enrolled as a student at a Dutch university and registered at a Dutch municipality for the entire duration of this contract.

We offer you a challenging and diverse position in an ambitious environment. The position is for maximum of 16 hours per week, with a start date as soon as possible and for 6 months with the possibility of an extention. The vacancy may be filled by more than one candidate depending on suitability.
The salary amounts to a minimum of €3.084 and a maximum of €3.141 gross per month (salary scale SA, CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten) based on full-time employment (38 hours). The UvA also offers extensive secondary employment benefits, including 8% vacation pay and 8.3% year-end bonus. The CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten applies.
