Digital Support Technician
Grade E (£27,246 - £28,608 p.a. pro rata)
Full time/Permanent based on campus
About the Role
Are you passionate about technology and enjoy helping others? Join our Digital Technologies team as a Digital Support Technician and be the go-to person for IT and AV support across the University. In this role you will:
- Provide friendly IT & AV support in person and remotely
- Set up and maintain devices including PCs, laptops, printers and AV equipment
- Commissioning and User Acceptance Testing of technology installations
- Troubleshoot technical issues and assist users
- Support network and voice patching tasks
- Create clear support materials and deliver basic user training
So we are seeking someone with
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, collaboration Tools (MS Teams etc.) and common hardware peripherals
- Experience of using and maintaining AV equipment used in teaching environments
- Managing technical assets and routine maintenance plans
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and follow technical documentation
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience
