Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity at the University of Greenwich? Would you like to join our expanding team of academics within the School of Health Sciences to contribute to the university’s excellence in teaching and learning?
We are actively looking to appoint an individual with a commitment to teach high-quality human anatomy and physiology at different levels on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty, frequently commended for our partnership working across the sector. The school delivers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses leading to registration in nursing, midwifery, and allied healthcare professions. The University has invested over £3 million in the development of state-of-the-art simulation centres, which will further enhance our record of teaching innovation.
We welcome applications from individuals who have extensive knowledge and experience of teaching anatomy and physiology. They should also have experience of teaching in a higher education or related environment and can evidence their ability to enhance student learning.
As a lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and an excellent student experience in a variety of formats, where diversity, inclusivity, and equality are celebrated. You will also have the opportunity to take part in research and enterprise activities. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated team player, and in return, we will support you through continued professional development, research, and knowledge exchange. Applicants without previous teaching experience will be considered as a Lecturer.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to complete a teaching qualification (PGCHE) and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to research and knowledge exchange activities.
To apply, please visit the University of Greenwich vacancies page and complete all details, including the supporting statements (please note attached CVs and personal statements will not be seen by the recruitment panel at the application stage).
Employment Visa: Under the UK Government Points Based System scheme, this role does meet the criteria to be sponsored for a Skilled Worker Route application.
We are looking for people who can help us achieve our Strategic Plan through the values we expect for our whole university community, of being Inclusive, Collaborative, and Impactful. The university welcomes people from diverse and underrepresented communities who can help the university to achieve its mission.
We encourage applicants to disclose experience of mental health problems so we can support them fully during our recruitment process and make any necessary reasonable adjustments. Any information disclosed will be kept confidential and separate from the job application form.
We are making significant strides to understand and continuously improve our employees’ experience and we are committed to implementing progressive diversity talent management.
