About your new role

As part of our growth journey, we are looking for a CSR Researcher to join our Research team. As a Researcher, you will help develop and maintain NQC’s industry leading assessment products used by the public and private sector to identify risk and improve their environmental and social performance. You will be responsible for analysing sustainability data and converting it into briefings, reports and platform content.

As a CSR Researcher, you are expected to undertake the following responsibilities as part of your day to day activities:

  • Conduct analysis and create campaign reports for NQC clients identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of platform content ensuring products reflect advancements in legislation, strategy and best practice.
  • Research international legislation on sustainability issues and best practice, and convert into strategic outcomes, assessment products, written reports, web briefings and other documentation as required.
  • Maintain a relevant level of knowledge and understanding in identified areas of government policy and strategy.
  • Undertake in-house or commissioned research projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Deliver training and briefings to NQC staff as and when required.

Requirements

  • A University degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, environmental science, social science or human rights.
  • Experience of research in the areas of human rights within supply chains, human rights legislation, forced labour and broad sustainability topics.
  • Strong data analysis and research skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to target audiences.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices, trends, and legal and compliance policies.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to drive positive change.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
