Contract: Fixed term until July

Salary: £35, - £43, per annum pro rata, dependent on experience

West Lothian College is looking to appoint an outstanding lecturer to the Health and Social Care team who will demonstrate the necessary commitment and enthusiasm to contribute to their section. Working within the friendly and knowledgeable team within the Care, Health and Sport faculty, you will be committed to the delivery of high-quality teaching and a varied learning experience, focusing on progression and employability.

Applications are invited for the position of COSCA Lecturer to contribute to the delivery of the COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate at Level 8. This course is delivered in person two evenings a week and you will be expected to work flexibly and collaborate effectively with other members of the college. 

Applicants should have a degree or appropriate professional qualification in their specialist field, and evidence of current counselling practice work experience in an appropriate setting. Applicants should also be a COSCA Accredited Trainer or be willing to work towards becoming an accredited trainer. A teaching qualification and lecturing experience within a college setting is preferable.

Candidates that have been selected for an interview will be required to deliver a 10 minute presentation and undertake a value and competency-based interview.
