a position as

Research Assistant IT Security - Multi-Factor Authentication Project

with 100% of the collectively agreed working hours (part-time is possible, please indicate in your application whether you would also or only be interested in part-time employment)

to be filled.

Position: E 13 TV-L

Professional and personal recruitment requirements:

  • Completed scientific university degree (Master's or comparable), ideally in computer science, IT security, physics, mathematics, communications engineering, administrative or business informatics, a comparable, relevant subject area with a technical focus or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience in project management
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience in the field of security mechanisms at network, operating system and application level according to the state of the art, in particular procedures for multifactor authentication
  • Knowledge of process-oriented project management, IT service and IT security management frameworks according to the state of the art
  • Knowledge of the relevant standards of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), in particular the IT-Grundschutz compendium, as well as the willingness to deepen this knowledge on an ongoing basis
  • Experience in the field of IT security, ideally in a scientific environment
  • High level of commitment, organizational and negotiation skills as well as a strong ability to work in a team and empathy
  • Communication and assertiveness skills
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills

Tasks and requirements:

  • Management, planning and implementation of the project for the university-wide introduction of multi-factor authentication
  • Support in the implementation of preventive IT security measures, e.g. vulnerability analysis, log data analysis
  • Support in processing security incidents and coordinating the necessary IT measures
