Job Description:
We seek someone To teach A Level and GCSE Sociology, and Applied Criminology. To ensure high quality student learning through the most effective, efficient and economic use of the College’s resources
Job Duties:
- Effective delivery of a teaching programme within the areas of competence of the post
holder paying due regard to student progression towards successful and value added
completion. - Regular assessment of student progress and preparation of appropriate progress
reports in sociology and Criminology. - Provide accurate and timely data and information including registers, withdrawals and
transfers, assessment and examination results, progress reports. - Maintain student morale and discipline inside and outside ‘the classroom’ within the
college site and in conjunction with College Management. - Keep abreast of Curriculum development, syllabus and assessment requirements
relevant to the areas of teaching and competence of the post holder. - Work effectively within the team/s responsible for devising, reviewing and maintaining
effective teaching and learning strategies.
Education:
- An appropriate degree
- a level 5 teaching qualification
- level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Previous experience within Further education
