We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, flexible and motivated full-time Lecturer in Civil Engineering who has the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people at all ages and levels to join our Civil Engineering and Groundworks Apprenticeship teaching team
This role will encompass all aspects of the planning and coordination of the apprenticeship standards/traineeship from initial sign up to end point assessment/timely achievement. The role will involve effective delivery of theory and practical training to ensure Civil Engineering and Groundworks Apprentices/trainees develop the knowledge and practical skills competency required to ensure timely achievement of the apprenticeship/traineeship.

Duties:
- Teach on courses and work to develop an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process.
- To assist in the development of teaching and learning materials, preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and maintaining records to monitor learner progression, achievement and attendance.
- Provide appropriate and relevant guidance for learners enabling them to develop knowledge, understanding and skills.
- To develop and implement timely, safe, consistent and relevant assessment plans and resources that are linked to initial and current assessments.
Skills/Experience:
- Utilising your wealth of skills and experience to teach students on programmes at level 1, 2 and 3 through theory and practical knowledge.
- Teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience with apprentices, part time or full time learners.
- A passion for imparting knowledge and skills to create better futures for our students.
- Well organised with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.
- Qualifications and experience in some the relevant area of expertise
- Commitment to achieving teaching qualifications.
- Assessor and Moderator/IQA Award is desirable.
