Salary: £29,820 - £36,749

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 37 Hours X 52 Weeks

Our College is a further and higher education institution dedicated to providing academic, vocational, and professional qualifications to approximately 13,000 young people and adults annually. About the Role

It is an exciting time to be joining the Academy of Pre-Technical and Skills for Living and Work. As an area of growth, you will be joining a team of people committed to helping those who are disadvantaged grow in confidence and realise their potential through learning.

We are a passionate and dynamic team, and we are looking for individuals who can bring enthusiasm, spirit and creativity to the area.

No two days are the same in the academy and each team member plays a vital role in ensuring our young people achieve and progress. If you believe that education is key to raising aspirations and expectations then this is the academy for you.

As a Main Grade Lecturer in our dynamic and rewarding team, youll play a key part in developing the skills of our young people to help them progress to their next steps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning, delivery and assessment of a personal, Social development curriculum , including Princes Trust Achieve qualification
  • Developing personalised and innovative lessons to break down barriers to learning and support learner success
  • Use a Quality Teaching First approach to ensure an inclusive environment for all of our young people
  • Support curriculum development and IQA processes and tracking of wider key skill development
  • Support the development of an enriched curriculum that includes employability

Skills & Knowledge

  • Have patience, empathy and a willingness to be flexible in your approach to planning and delivery

We welcome applicants who are new to teaching and can bring other skill sets to the role to support this cohort of young people.
