Lecturer in Digital Construction

Publicerad 2024-07-04

The School of Engineering has seen a period of exceptional growth in research, teaching, and enterprise activities. To support and maintain such growth, we are appointing to a Lecturer post and looking for a candidate to join our diverse Construction and Built Environment team to deliver underpinning knowledge and experience in the subject area across the school. The successful candidate will take an important role in the development and teaching in the following subjects:

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM)
  • Building Simulation and Digital Twin
  • Digital Construction
  • Application and Integration of AI in Digital Construction
  • Applicants must have a strong research profile, the potential to develop internationally recognised research programmes, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Indeed, we wish to invite applications from a broad range of candidates with different skill sets. Preference will be given to applicants with a first degree in civil engineering, a PhD in a relevant subject, and can combine excellence in teaching with the capacity to conduct novel, interdisciplinary engineering research that will expand and complement the school’s research strengths. Candidates with extensive industrial experience who do not currently hold a PhD are encouraged to apply.

Familiarity with the UK higher education system and external accreditation processes will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be based at the World Heritage Greenwich Maritime Campus but may be required to work at the university’s other campuses. More information about the role can be found in the JD.
