About the Role

We are looking to appoint two Lecturers / Senior Lecturers in Electronic Engineering to support the expansion of our Joint Programme/Joint Education Institution with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT). You will join our dynamic Flying Faculty who travel business class to China typically six times per year (up to 2 weeks per trip) to carry out teaching and assessment. Your travel time is counted as part of your workload, and you will be given appropriate time off on your return for your wellbeing, which is in addition to your annual leave entitlement.

This post will be on a teaching only contract, therefore research activity will not be part of the expected duties.

About You

You should have a PhD in Electronic Engineering/Computer Science with teaching experience in Higher Education at undergraduate or postgraduate level and the demonstrable ability to deliver teaching at both levels with some guidance in the following areas, but not exclusively: Embedded Systems, Microprocessor Systems Design and/or Broadband Technologies and Fibre Optics. You should be able to communicate new and complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, engaging the interest and enthusiasm of the target audience. You should also have clear and ambitious plans for future scholarship activities.
