About the role

This research-oriented role contributes high quality research support to assist the delivery of the Centre’s research agenda. This will include editorial assistance for research outputs, assisting with preparation of and reporting for grant applications, as well as ad hoc legal research and assistance. The role will also provide and maintain content in support of the Centre’s website, blogs and seminars, and help with orientation for incoming visiting fellows. The role is well suited for a recent graduate from an undergraduate or postgraduate law degree who is interested in advancing their legal research skills. The role holder is expected to be present in the Faculty to work with the team for around 2-3 days per week.

Please note - due to funding restrictions the salary range will be Grade 6, £37, - £39, per annum.

About you

We are looking for a researcher with a keen interest in the field of UK or comparative public law or constitutional studies, and a good knowledge of legal research methods and databases, including LexisNexis and Westlaw, as well as familiarity with UK law and legal research.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to work independently and conscientiously, using their own initiative whilst maintaining careful attention to detail. As a key member of the research team, the role also requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships and to contribute to the team’s development.
