Previous experience and knowledge:
Talented professional with more than 5 years of experience in Financial Markets Research across the different asset classes and with a strong focus on Fx and Rates. Strong understanding of Market dynamics on those asset classes, the fundamentals and factors behind. Knowledge of QIS products and Derivatives, including volatility, products is preferred. Academic Background in any of the following disciplines: Finance, Mathematics, Physics or Engineering. Master in quantitative finance or in any other quantitative field is a plus. Advanced Python programming skills. Advanced user of Bloomberg. Languages:
Fluent in English. Soft-skills:
Highly motivated professional able to work as team player in a fast growing business with good communication skills. With initiative to permanently improve tools and the content material produced. Analytical profile able to understand client and product needs and present the content solution in a clear and in-depth way. This position will require the candidate to have a valid Mifid certification. In case the candidate is not certified, they will have to obtain the pertaining certification upon the incorporation
Overview
BBVA Strategy team is a key part of the Global Markets value chain across the different asset classes and geographies providing a streamline, and fully aligned with the product verticals, service, best in class, agile and tailored content solutions for BBVA GM clients.
QIS is a fast-growing business, as part of the Investment Solutions, sits within Global Markets unit, focusing in the design, manufacturing and distribution of rule based, multi asset strategies, built as investible indices. BBVA QIS offers clients a wide range of investment alternatives leveraging on BBVA ́s powerful data- driven skills and expertise.
Key responsibilities:
Lead jointly with the QIS team the creation and implementation of Research framework around the QIS Index products.
Produce regular content putting current QIS Index offering in the context of market and cycle conditions with a macro investing angle. Produce concrete investment ideas around QIS Index offering aligned with QIS product and Strategy teams. Produce jointly with QIS Marketing periodic analytical reports for the clients about the QIS strategies performance. Collaborate with QIS Marketing in the production of content material for pitchbooks and ad hoc solutions for the clients. Provide insights to the QIS Product development about predictable asset returns and risks patterns relevant for the Index development. Producing ad hoc white papers of specific Risk Premia topics across the different asset classes. Collaborate with the rest of the Strategy team and QIS Structuring in the creation of specific market indicators to be used as part of the QIS product development framework.
