Job Description:
This position is with a proteinanalytics team conducting research in plant biotechnology. Thisposition requires the delivery of quality results in a fastpacedenvironment. Experience with ELISA assays automated liquid handlersand LIMS systems is a plus but we would provide training for theideal candidate.
Candidates are expected to contribute toprocess improvements for safety quality and throughput. Additionalskills in automated western blots multiplexed immunoassays andprotein extraction from plant matrixes are highly desirable. Aftertraining the ideal candidate will be able to work with minimalsupervision
Candidates must be team players reliable andhave the desire to learn new skills.
- Conducted ELISA Assaysn a fastpaced environment using instrumentation such as automatedliquid handlers plate washers and spectrometers
- Increased production efficiencyby handling multiple protein assays in a single sample and largenumbers of samples in a single request
- Followed OSHA protocols safety anddecontamination procedures for plant samples and lab equipment.
- Conducted extensiveanalysis on ELISA data and reported to management on key findingsof market research initiatives conducted for major biotechnologypharmaceutical and healthcare organizations
- Followed sample extractionprocedures for protein expression assays using instrumentation suchas lyopholizers megagrinders and centrifuges.
- Conducted automated western blotsfor analysis of transgenic tissue samples.
- Sampled plant tissue for protein expressionassays
