Senior Research Associate - ‘Sleep Detectives’ project

The role

A part time Senior Research Associate (0.8 FTE) post is available with two years’ fixed funding to join a project run in collaboration with Cardiff University and the University of Exeter. This Wellcome Trust funded ‘Sleep Detectives’ project seeks to co-develop, with children and families, methods for assessing sleep and cognitive function in children with chromosomal deletions or duplications.


What will you be doing?

You will work with the Bristol team to:

  • develop computerised assessments of processing speed, attention, cognitive control, and working memory suitable for this population
  • liaise with participants and their families in co-production activities and to set up the study
  • engage in the cognitive assessment of participants
  • analyse the resultant data
  • lead the write up and dissemination of this work through reports and published high quality papers

  • You should apply if

    You have an in-depth understanding of cognitive development and a passion for working with neurodiverse individuals, have completed a PhD (or equivalent experience), and have the ability to publish high quality research.
