The SMHEART project, funded by the European Research Council, aims to revolutionise cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) by offering a fast, fully automated, one-click imaging for cardiology. Our ultimate goal is to break down barriers between disciplines and provide health care professionals with a powerful tool that improves our understanding of heart disease and improves patient outcomes.
In this context, we are looking for a Post-Doctoral researcher in cardiovascular imaging.
Votre mission
Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is a non-invasive, high-precision tool for studying cardiac function and assessing myocardial tissue. It provides essential information for the clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular disease.
However, its unique ability to manipulate contrast and capture morphological information is often limited by the duration of examinations and physiological motion artifacts.
Your main mission will be to develop new MRI (sequence) and reconstruction (applied mathematics) image acquisition techniques, allowing for high-resolution multi-contrast images acquired in free breathing.
· You implement and deploy advanced image analysis methods, based on MRI phantoms, healthy volunteers and patients
· The results will be presented at international conferences (ISMRM, SCMR, ECR), and published in renowned scientific journals (MRM, JCMR, JMRI).
· You accompany young trainees in the field of cardiac imaging
Vos atouts / Vos talents
Holder of a PhD in engineering, physics or life sciences, you are comfortable with artificial intelligence and applied mathematics.
· You have knowledge in programming MRI and/or imaging sequences
· You are proficient in the programming languages Python, Matlab, C++ and deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and/or TensorFlow
· You have a command of English (C1/B2 level) in an international working environment

You will join a team of 4 PhD students, 2 engineers, 1 doctor and 1 junior professor.

12-month fixed-term contract
Salary gross: between 2750€ and 3000€ per month according the salary grid
