About your role
Pre-award tasks:
- Handle the formal registration and submission of the proposals in any relevant format.
- Conduct follow-up on proposals supported by Research Grant Support and prepare the necessary documentation for formal acceptance and negotiation cycle, including forward all the relevant information and documentation to the post-award area such as consortium agreements.
- Prepare generic guidelines and instructions for especially important calls.
- Prepare European projects amendments.
- General administrative and back-office tasks related to the pre-award area.
Post-award tasks including the management of European Marie Curie projects:
- Monitor overall progress and use of resources (together with financial controller), and initiate corrective action where necessary.
- Manage project administration incl. grant management systems.
- Collect input from consortium partners for reports and deliverables to report to funding agency.
- Organize consortium meetings.
- Assist in the recruitment process of local (AUMC) researchers in Marie Curie Doctoral Networks (e.g. set-up and distribution of vacancy, interview planning, etc.).
- (Co)-write documents, such as: management handbooks, templates, reports and/or (ethical) deliverables.
- Solve issues that arise (in general).
About you- master’s degree with experience and/or demonstrable affinity with research projects;
- strong analytical skills, organized, able to keep track of multiple projects at the same time;
- strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking abilities;
- a proactive, stimulating attitude; you form a team with the researcher, the consortium, and the colleagues from Grant Support and the wider support network;
- preferably, you have knowledge of rules and procedures for European funding programmes, or the experience which will enable you to quickly master these rules and procedures;
- full proficiency in Dutch and English with excellent communication, written, and listening skills. English is the second working language of the office;
- digital skills, including experience with content management systems, visual design and database management;
- video-editing skills, experience with web analytics, and with online survey tools are considered a plus;
- experience in organizing in-person events, as well as digital ones (such as via Zoom and Teams).

- A contract for 12 months, with the intention to extend for a total of 4 years.
- Classification in salary scale 10: € 3.598 to € 5.669 gross for full-time employment (depending on experience). In addition to a good basic salary, we offer 8.3% end-of-year bonus. Calculate your net salary here. As of 1 July 2026, the salary will be increased by 3.5% in accordance with the collective labor agreement (CAO UMC).
- Holiday hours: 194.4 per year for full time and a possibility to save additional hours.
- 100% reimbursement for public transport travel costs. If you travel by foot, bicycle, or car, a mileage allowance of €0.21 per km applies (up to a maximum of 40 km one way by car).
