The role

The role is to contribute to all aspects of a mixed-method process evaluation in a cluster-randomised controlled trial testing the effectiveness of a primary care domestic violence training and support programme.

Interviews will take place on 22 July.


What will you be doing?

The role will be focused primarily on conducting a mixed-method process evaluation within a clinical trial testing the effectiveness of a primary care domestic violence training and support programme. The aim of the process evaluation will be to establish the programme’s mechanisms of impact, scalability and reach in different implementation contexts in England and Wales. In addition, the post-holder will be expected to contribute to all research aspects of the trial, including research coordination, wider data collection, data analysis, writing up and dissemination activities.


You should apply if

We are looking to appoint an experienced mixed-methods researcher with a postgraduate degree with qualitative research expertise. Ability to combine quantitative and qualitative methods and experience of synthesising and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data is essential. An awareness of the particular issues and difficulties of working with vulnerable groups is expected. Training and/or experience of working on clinical trials and/or experience evaluating complex interventions would be appropriate for this role.
